Full Time Faculty Position as Clinician Educator
Applications are invited for a full-time (GFT) faculty position in the Department of Anesthesia
Qualities of a Successful Candidate
The successful candidate must hold an MD with specialty training in anesthesia and will have experience training undergraduate medical students, postgraduate residents in anesthesia, as well as clinical fellows and allied health professionals. The successful candidate must be licensed (or eligible for license) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) and should be certified – or eligible for certification – by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
Role Description
The role of Clinician Educator involves, but is not limited to, the supervision and teaching of Undergraduate MD Students, the supervision and teaching of Anesthesia Residents, the presentation of Rounds and Residency Program Core Teaching Seminars, participation in Program Orals, and participation in Continuing Medical Education. Significant engagement in educational research and innovation is expected. Experience with Competency Based Medical Education is considered an asset.
Academic rank will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
