Recognition of Achievement – Dr. Alexander Freytag

Congratulations to Dr. Alexander Freytag for being the successful recipient of the Niagara Regional Campus 2023 George Bibawi Award for Excellence in Teaching!

This award was created to honour the contributions to anesthesia teaching by Dr. George Bibawi and is awarded annually to a clinical anesthesia teacher at the Niagara Regional Campus who best exemplifies excellence in teaching in anesthesia.

The leadership that Dr. Freytag has provided as the Regional Education Lead for Anesthesia has ensured that students and residents have continued to have excellent learning opportunities despite many challenges over the past few years. Over Dr. Freytag’s career at Niagara Health, he has been a consistent and valuable contributor to the advancement of medical provider education.
